Glenn Murray is a striker of Crystal Palace. He was born on 25 September 1983 in Maryport, England.
In 2002, Glenn graduated from the academy of Workington Reds and started his professional performance for the club, where he managed to amass 25 goals in 43 fixtures during one year and a half. In January 2004, the footballer transferred to Wilmington Hammerheads and netted seven goals in 12 games for the new team during six months.
In the summer 2004, Murray sealed a deal with Barrow and fired amazing nine goals in nine matches for the club before completing a move to Carlisle United, where he found the net five times in 47 fixtures during one year and a half. In January 2006, the striker went on loan to Stockport County and chipped in three goals in 11 games for ‘The Hatters’ during his spell. In the summer 2006, Glenn put pen to paper of a temporary contract with Rochdale and went on to net four times in 12 matches for the team during six months.
After the end of his temporary span, the footballer finalized a permanent move to ‘The Dale’ and scored 21 goals in 42 fixtures during the 2007/2008 season.
Murray’s confident display drew the attention of Brighton and Hove Albion, and the striker signed for the new club in the summer 2008. He clinched a regular place in the starting line-up at once and kicked 53 goals in 118 games for ‘The Seagulls’ during three years.
In the summer 2011, Glenn penned a contract with Crystal Palace, where he made 64 appearances and contributed 30 goals as of February 2013.
