Odil Ahmedov is a midfielder, born on 25 November 1987 in Namangan, Uzbekistan. He plays with the national team of Uzbekistan as a defensive midfielder. In 2006 Odil joined his alma mater FC Pakhtakor Tashkent as a regular, while Valery Nepomniachtchi was the senior coach. From 2006 to 2010 Odil made 86 appearances for Uzbek club.
In February 2011 Odil completed a move to Anzhi Makhachkala. He debuted for the club on 1 March 2011 in a match of Premier League against FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. At the end of the season Odil was named Anzhi Best Player in 2011/12 season.
Once Anzhi were relegated from Russian Prmier League in 2014, Ahmedov completed a move to Krasnodar.
Ahmedov repeatedly won Uzbekistani Cup, CIS Cup in 2007, became Uzbek League Champion in 2006, 2007, CIS and was twice named Uzbekistan Player of the Year.
Odil Ahmedov’s debut for Uzbekistan was a tremendous 9-0 win against Taiwan. Since 2007 Ahmedov has been a regular for Uzbekistan national team.
