Al Ain’s Asamoah Gyan hints at possible return to Europe

Al Ain’s Asamoah Gyan hints at possible return to Europe

Al Ain’s striker Asamoah Gyan revealed he is missing European football and would jump at the opportunity of returning to Europe.

It is to be recalled that Gyan preferred moving to United Arab Emirates instead of playing for Sunderland.

The 27-year-old Ghana international helped Al Ain seal their 11th UAE Pro League title, by netting an excellent hat-trick in a 3-0 win over Dubai. Currently Gyan leads the Etisalat Pro League goal scoring charts with 28 goals.

However, despite admitting he is happy at Al Ain, the player hinted that he is keen on returning to Europe. He said: “I have won two titles here. I am scoring goals, but I’m not playing in front of 50,000 fans. I am missing European football sometimes, but don’t get me wrong I am happy here and it’s nice to be here.

“However, if there is a possibility to return to a very good European club then of course I would take the opportunity. It would be very exciting to score goals again in a European league,” he added.
