Arsenal and Laurent Koscielny reached an agreement on a new contract
Koscielny became one of the major parts in the defense line of the capital club since he appeared at the Emirates two years ago. His performance has been consistent and ‘absolutely exceptional’ as the manager Arsene Wenger describes it.
The details of the deal were not made public. The defender confirmed that he decided to stay at the club, stating that he was delighted to sign an agreement with the team where he had ‘a fantastic time’.
Wenger claimed that the player showed outstanding progress in the last season and noted he is ‘very pleased he has decided to commit his future to the club’.
Koscielny moved to Arsenal in 2010 and made 85 appearances for the team in all competitions, scoring 6 goals.
