Bayern Munich chase Borussia Lewandowski

Daily Mirror informs that Man Utd set to face stiff competition from Bayern Munich for their long-term target Borussia striker Robert Lewandowski.

The 24-year-old Poland international has been repeatedly linked with a move to Old Trafford, but now it seems that Pep Guardiola, who is set to take charge Bayern Munich in June, is also keen on securing the services of the in-demand player.

The striker himself attempted to play down the recent speculations surrounding his transfer, stating: “We’ll talk after the final match of the season and we’ll see”. Lewandowski said he will sit down and consider all the available offers at the end of the season.

Meanwhile Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke admitted the Poland international is free to leave should he choose to move clubs. “If Robert wants really to another club, we would sit around a table and talk about everything because we have a good relationship.”
