Championship news: Blackburn Best back to action

Daily Mail reports Blackburn hitman Leon Best has returned into action after spending seven months on the sidelines with a cruciate ligament injury.

The 26-year-old Irish had spells Southampton, Coventry, QPR, Sheffield Wednesday and Bournemouth before joining the Rovers for £3 million from Newcastle in 2012. However he has picked up a long-term injury at the training session just a month after arrival, which put his career at Ewood Park on hold.

Best returned into action on Monday, spending 67 minutes on the field in Blackburn reserves’ 2-1 win against Sunderland reserves.
