Chelsea target QPR Mbia

Chelsea target QPR Mbia

L’Equipe states that Queens Park Rangers midfielder Stephane Mbia is on the verge of leaving his club in favor of a move to Chelsea.

The Blues became interested in signing the 31-year-old Cameroonian after he has impressed the coaching staff in QPR shocking 1-0 win over Chelsea. However QPR coach Harry Redknapp will only let his player leave if he succeeds in signing Rennes’ Yann M’Vila as a replacement.

Chelsea’s recent lack of aggression and sheer physical power in the midfield cost them several important points in the last few games. Interim Rafa Benitez reckons that Mbia could fix the abovementioned weaknesses.

Mbia has made 14 appearances for his club this season.
