Chelsea’s Terry to miss the festive fixtures

uk.eurosport.yahoo.com states that Chelsea’s skipper John Terry is set to miss the series of crucial Christmas matches after he suffered the setback of his knee injury during the training session.

Terry has been recovering well following the ligament injury picked up in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool and was expected to return into action before the New Year. However he felt pain in his knee during the training and is set to miss the games against Aston Villa, Norwich, Everton and QPR.

“Today was fine in the warm-up but then he gets a problem, it is one step forward, one step back, Chelsea interim Rafa Benitez said. “Hopefully it will be easier in the next few weeks. The problem is the inflammation and the knee is so complicated. I hope he will be available at Christmas but I can’t guarantee anything. You can’t predict when he will be available.’
