Confederations Cup results: Brazil beat Spain in style to lift the trophy (video highlights)

Brazil overcome Spain with a spectacular 3-0 victory to end World and European champions’ run of 29 unbeaten games and lift Confederations Cup trophy.

Fred got Brazil off to a flying start in the second minute, as he managed to send the ball past Casillas while sitting on the ground. With hosts firmly taking control of the game it was Neymar who extended Brazil’s lead with a marvelous strike after one-two with Oscar in the 44th minute. Fred has again and sent the crowd into ruptures three minutes into the second half, as he slotted the ball into the far corner. Spain’s misery continued as Ramos missed the penalty and Pique was sent off for a professional foul in the 68th minute.

The result means Brazil clinched their fifth back-to-back victory at this year’s Confederations Cup and secured the trophy for the third consecutive time.
