David Bentley set to leave Tottenham

Tottenham midfielder David Bentley is looking to leave the club as soon as his contract expires next month.

After being deemed a surplus to requirements by Harry Redknapp, the ex-Blackburn and Arsenal player decided to go out on loan in search of first-team football. He had loan spells with Birmingham and West Ham, before moving to Russian side FC Rostov in 2012-2013 season.

After Andre Villas-Boas told Bentley he does not feature in his plans for the next season, both parties decided that exit from White Hart Lane would be a best possible solution.

Several clubs are said to be interested in signing the 28-year-old with the likes of Wigan, West Ham and West Brom being prepared to fight for his signature.
