Group A

Anji 1-0 Liverpool
Udinese 2-3 Young Boys
FC Anji Makhachkala is the leader in the group after their win at the expense of Liverpool. Lacina Traoré’s first-half added time goal brought the desired three points to Guus Hiddink’s side while BSC Young Boys notched up a second win against Udinese Calcio. All the teams in Group A stay within three points and Anji is just one point ahead Liverpool.

Group B

Académica de Coimbra 2-0 Atlético Madrid
Plzen 4-0 H. Tel-Aviv
Atlético Madrid broke their successful start of 16 wins in a row losing to Académica de Coimbra and at the same evening FC Viktoria Plzeň earned their three points after an impressive 4-0 win at Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC.

Group C

Marseille 2-2 VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach
Fenerbahçe 2-0 AEL Limassol FC
First-half goals from Dirk Kuyt and Moussa Sow made Fenerbahçe’s way to the round of 32 closer. They feel comfortable being 5 points ahead of VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach who goes the next in their Group C.

Bordeaux 1-0 Marítimo

Group E

Molde FK 1-2 FC Steaua Bucureşti
København 0-2 Stuttgart
Two first-half goals from Alexandru Chipciu and Iasmin Latovlevici helped Steaua to see off Molde FK.

Group F

AIK 1-0 PSV
SSC Napoli 4-2 FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk
Edinson Cavani showed excellent performance bringing SSC Napoli from behind and scoring all four goals in their 4-2 win against FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

Sporting 1-1 Genk

Group H

FK Partizan 1-3 FC Internazionale Milano
Neftçi PFK 0-1 Rubin
The action-packed second half, when all the goals were scored, proved Inter as strong power among the qualified clubs. Rodrigo Palacio scored two goals until Fredy Guarín added a third, Nemanja Tomić netted a consolation injury-time goal. Rubin secured a place in the last 32 due to a strike from Vladimir Dyadyun in their 1-0 win over Neftçi PFK.

Athletic Bilbao 2-3 Olympique Lyonnais
Athletic Club managed to restore parity and catch up 2-2 score in the match against Olympique Lyon until the French side overcame via Lacazette’s 63rd-minute goal. So Lyon already secured their place in the round of 32.

S.S. Lazio 3-0 Panathinaikos FC
Tottenham Hotspur FC 3-1 Maribor
Jermain Defoe netted thrice on the 22nd, 49th, 77th minutes bringing Tottenham their three points. Maribor’s only goal scored by Beric on 40th minute was nothing but mere consolation. Lazio is the leader in Group J with 8 points after Libor Kozák scored two and Sergio Floccari added a third in their 3-0 victory over Panathinaikos.

Leverkusen 3-0 Rapid Wien

Group L

Hannover 96 3-2 Helsingborgs IF
Twente 0-0 Levante
Two goals from Mame Diouf brought the Bundesliga outfit the lead, but Nikola Djurdić and Alejandro Bedoya equalized for Helsingborg. It was Szabolcs Huszti who scored stoppage-time penalty from 12 meters and secured Hannover a safe passing to the last 32.
