Everton set to make approach for Wigan Martinez

Daily Mail states Everton could make a move for Wigan boss Roberto Martinez, should their boss David Moyes leave the club after 11 years in charge.

The recent speculations have linked Everton boss with move to Manchester City and Chelsea, as he is yet to extend his contract with the club which is due to expire in summer. Although the Scot himself said he does not want enter the contract negotiations as it could distract him from doing his job in the best possible way, such a position fuelled the rumours about the imminent Moyes’ departure from the club. He is said to be ready for a new challenge, as he has taken the Toffees as far as he can with the current amount of investment.

The departure of Moyes could be a major blow for Everton as he has repeatedly delivered top-half finishes despite the limited transfer budget.

Roberto Martinez has rejected the offer of taking charge of Liverpool last summer and could be brought in by Everton hierarchy as a replacement for Moyes.
