Heitinga on the verge of Everton exit

Sky Sports states that Everton’s defender is unhappy about the lack of first-team opportunities and is considering leaving the club in January.

The 29 year-old Netherlands international has made just 8 starts this season with Everton’s boss David Moyes preferring the pairing Distin – Jagielka in the centre of defence in last games.

Heitinga has been in marvelous form last season winning Everton’s player of the season award. He was widely expected to sign a new contract with his club in winter. However defender’s agent has revealed recently that Heitinga is far from happy at the situation in the club and is prepared to consider any forthcoming offers.

Recently Heitinga has been linked with a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.
