Joey Barton sees his future outside England

Sky Sports states Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton, who is currently playing on loan at Marseille, does not wish to return to his parent club.

Barton has moved to a French side after falling out with QPR management in summer due to his 12-match ban for improper behavior during the game against Man City.

Despite having two years remaining on his contract, the midfielder revealed he wants to extend his stay at Marseille on a permanent basis. He said: “I cannot see me playing again at QPR,” said Barton. “Marseille had faith in me when no one had faith anymore, so I want to pay them back for that. At the right moment we will talk. But I miss Premier League.”
