Juventus sign Federico Peluso from Atalanta

Juventus completed the signing of Atalanta defender Federico Peluso for a transfer fee of 4.8 million euros.

The 29-year-old Italian has spent the second half of the season on loan with the Bianconeri and managed to impress both the fans and the coaching staff with the quality of his performances. He made 12 appearances and scored on one occasion in the Old Lady’s title-winning Serie A campaign. As a result, Juventus decided to sign the experienced defender on a permanent basis.

A statement on an official Juventus website read: “Juventus Football Club announces the exercising of the definitive acquisition right for the player Federico Peluso from Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio for a fee of 4.8million euros that will be paid over two financial years.”

Peluso, who won three caps, put pen to paper on a four-year deal with Serie A club, that will keep him at the Juventus Stadium up until 2017.
