Lampard is ready to prolong his contract with Chelsea

Frank Lampard had been linked with a transfer to MLS club, the player states he is committed to Chelsea.

Lampard told the American press he had an amazing time while playing for Chelsea and hoped he would finish his career in that team. The midfielder explained that he was ready to held talks on his contract with Chelsea if they asked for it, yet he added: ‘it’s not the same thing as when you are 25. At that time they come to you or you knock the door down with a couple of years to go to extend it. When you are into your thirties you should accept the offers’.

The 34-year-old player revealed that Chelsea would always be his club even though he might not continue playing in it. He added he was ready ‘to offer experience and just be a presence in the club’.
