Laurent Blanc set to take over PSG

Former France manager Laurent Blanc revealed he is in talks with a Paris Saint-Germain and admitted the deal is close to be completed.

According to the recent reports, Laurent Blanc has reached an agreement in principal on taking over Paris Saint-Germain. The ex-France head coach is believed to have agreed a two-year deal, though no official confirmation has been released as of yet. These rumours were dismissed by Blanc’s agent Jean-Pierre Bernes, who said the negotiations are still ongoing, but the 47-year-old himself said he expects the deal to be sealed in the near future. Blanc is touted as a firm favourite to succeed Carlo Ancelotti, who is close to taking up a vacant position at Real Madrid.

Blanc said: “I’ll be in Paris on Monday for discussions. There is a good chance that I will sign. I cannot say much more for now, we’ll know more later in the week. PSG is a great opportunity, it is a very good club. This is very interesting.”
