Lazio eye WBA Shane Long

Sky Sports informs that Lazio are seriously considering the possibility of signing 25-year-old West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long.

After netting impressive eight goals in the first half of Premier League season 2012-2013 Long has been the subject of ongoing transfer speculations linking him with a move to one of the Premier League top clubs. Long himself has repeatedly played down rumors of a January move away from The Hawthorns and insisted he is determined to concentrate on playing football for his side.

However should Lazio make a formal offer, then the Ireland international can change his mind. Steve Clark has repeatedly benched Shane Long for the latest Premier League matches preferring to play Lukaku up front.
