Liverpool chase Porto Atsu, Sevilla Luis Alberto

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is weighing up signing of Porto attacker Christian Atsu and Sevilla striker Luis Alberto, as he continues rebuilding his side.

The 21-year-old Ghana international Atsu could be employed as a left winger or in the supporting role for a striker. Despite his relatively young age, he has established himself as a useful first-team player at the Portuguese side. He has made 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and setting up another 6. Atsu has also taken part in the African Cup of Nations with his national team.

Rodgers became interested in landing Luis Alberto after watching through the scout reports. The 21-year-old Spaniard has bags of potential and is believed to have a bright future before him. However Sevilla want at least £5 million for their starlet, which could be a stumbling block during the negotiations.
