Liverpool to make a switch for Swansea Williams

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is looking to bolster his defensive options with the move for Swansea defender Ashley Williams.

Brendan Rodgers is believed to have been disappointed with the Skrtel’s decision to openly question his reasons for benching the Slovakian after the Reds’ defeat against Oldham. The 28-year-old defender is expected to be leaving the club in summer after the bust-up with the manager with his former club Zenit to be the most likely destination. Rodgers has turned his attention to Williams, who could replace the out-of-favored Skrtel in the heart of Liverpool defense.

The speculations have linked Williams with a move to Manchester United, however Liverpool are looking to try and capture the highly-rated player in summer.
