Man City Richards returns to light training

Man City Richards returns to light training

Daily Mail informs Man City have been given huge boost with the news their key defender Micah Richards has returned to light training following the knee injury that kept him on the sidelines for about 5 months.

The 24-year-old England international has suffered a serious knee injury in Man City 1-0 win over Swansea on October 27 and has to undergo a surgery. Currently he is completing the closing stages of his treatment program and could be back in full training in several weeks. Mancini is not likely to risk the player taking into account the seriousness of his injury and will test him in one of the club’s Under 21 games to offer him much-needed match practice.

Richards’ return will give Mancini desired squad-depth in their chase of the Premier league title. The defending champions are 12 points behind leaders Manchester United after eye-brow raising 3-1 defeat against Southampton.
