Man Utd clinched a sponsorship deal with Russian Aeroflot

Accident-prone Russian aircraft Aeroflot is set to become one of Manchester United’s sponsors after agreeing a multi-million contract.

Aeroflot, a state-owned company, will be succeeding Turkish Airlines as official Manchester United airline from the next season.

The choice seems surprising, to say the least, taking into account that the airline company cannot boast of their safety record, particularly as to what concerns internal flights.

Aeroflot perceive the deal as the stepping stone towards overhauling the image of the company both in Russia and in the world, which is especially important as Russia will host 2018 World Cup. According to the details of the deal, Man Utd will have to travel to and from Moscow with Aeroflot.
