Man Utd legend Scholes’ car stolen
According to Eurosport, Man Utd veteran Paul Scholes had his £30,000 car stolen after leaving it with engine running to defrost the windscreen.
The 38-year-old former England international has returned inside his house to stay in the warm for about 15 minutes but as he went back outside he found out his car had gone.
Scholes has been given Chevrolet Captiva LT 2 Estate, valued at approximately £30,000 as part of Man Utd’s sponsorship deal with General Motors. The company suggested each Man Utd player to choose any car of their product line. Interestingly the Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson barred the younger players from picking General Motors’ Corvette sports car making a top speed of 196mph.
So you may well be surprised that Scholes has decided to choose Chevrolet Captiva LT 2 Estate, despite the fact that he has been permitted to own speedy Corvette. Why not taking the £70,000 supercar to drive for sheer enjoyment and pleasure and use the second-hand Ford for shopping run?
