Manchester City vs Chelsea and other Premier League fixtures

Two main title contenders meet at Etihad as Chelsea could lose ground in case of a loss.

Manchester City vs Chelsea
Jose Mourinho travels to Manchester and must stop the hosts’ incredible attacking line should he want to stay in the title race. City have already notched 68 goals in 23 games which makes the stunning average of three goals a match. Chelsea, however, are the hardest nut to crack as Petr Čech only conceded 20 goals so far. The London club have lost on their last four visits to Etihad. The teams have few injured players, but prolific striker Kun Aguero is doubtful with hamstring problems. Samir Nasri and James Milner are also set to miss the clash. Fernando Torres is unavailable for the visiting side.

Newcastle United vs Sunderland
The Magpies are a solid mid-table team in current season and could even fight for European places, and Sunderland are in relegation battle. However, this is a Tyne derby which says it all. Besides, Sunderland have recently been in decent form that saw them leave the bottom of the league, while Newcastle failed to score in four of their last five matches in Premier League. Newcastle’s best striker Loic Remy will miss the derby after being sent off late in match against Norwich for a row with Bradley Johnson. Coloccini and Bigirimana are also unavailable. Gus Poyet will be able to field his strongest eleven except Lee Cattermole.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace have only scored 15 goals in current campaign but won the last two games to escape the relegation zone. Jason Puncheon gave the Eagles two narrow victories after he had missed a penalty kick against Tottenham Hotspur. Arsene Wenger will need to deal some setbacks as Aaron Ramsey results sidelined for another six weeks with tendon injury and Mathieu Flamini is suspended following his red card in Southampton. Jack Wilshere is also unavailable.
