Manchester United to bid for Cavani

Manchester United have emerged as a shock contenders for Cavani’s signature, with new boss David Moyes prepared to table a record-breaking £50million offer for Napoli goal-machine.

Moyes is keen on bringing the 26-year-old Uruguayan to Old Trafford, as he considers him to be an ideal partner up front for Robin van Persie. The pace, physical strength and lethal finishing ability of the prolific striker would fit perfectly for the Premier League style of football. No club has agreed to match Cavani’s huge £54 million release clause, except of Chelsea, and it looks like United are ready to try and hijack the proposed deal.

Manchester United a facing a stiff competition from top European clubs for the player’s services, including Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid.
