Matri responds to Juve critics

The Italian striker hits back at media criticism.

Alessandro Matri is one of Juve strikers who are harshly criticized by their Italian press. The media claims that the super club lacks effectiveness and creativity in offence, yet the 28-year-old forward believes these comments are far from being true.

“If one looks at the situation carefully, he will understand who wants the top forward more out of the club and the media,” Matri states.
The player underlined that the Bianconeri problems with the squad are exaggerated by the journalists who as he says: “like to criticize our attack and not highlight the work it does.“

“There is no top footballers here, there is a team that works as a unit. Forwards work to score, but also work to create goals, “ adds Matri.

Juve is standing at the top of the Italian Serie A, playing in the next round against Fiorentina.
