Milan set to bid for Newcastle Krul

AC Milan are seriously considering the possibility of signing Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul.

The 25-year-old Dutchman has fuelled the interest of Italian giants with his impressive performances throughout this and previous season. Unfortunately Krul has suffered a shoulder injury in Newcastle’s 3-0 defeat against Sunderland in Tyne and Wear derby and will be out for the remainder of the season. That game could be his last for Newcastle, should Milan follow up their interest. Milan are considering the player to be an ideal replacement to ageing Christian Abbiati.

However, taking into account Krul’s contract is due to expire in three years, Newcastle are unlikely to settle for anything less than £12 million.
