Newcastle Cabaye leaves the door open to Monaco move

Sought-after Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye revealed he would jump at an opportunity of moving to free-spending Monaco.

The recent speculation has strongly linked the playmaker, who has been ever-present in last-season’s Newcastle side, with a move away from St.James’ Park with Monaco considered the most likely option.

The French moneybags have already secured the services of Joao Moutinho, James Rodriguez, Ricardo Carvalho and Radamel Falcao and are reportedly looking for a quality midfielder. Cabaye is considered by Monaco boss Claudio Raniery as an ideal signing who could add creativity and dynamic in the midfield.

The 27-year-old France international revealed he relish an opportunity of playing for Ligue 1 side, should a respectable offer be made. He said: “Monaco have the means to build a strong team. It might interest everyone.”
