Newcastle keen on reuniting with Carroll

Newcastle are seriously considering the possibility of bringing Andy Carroll back to St. James Park, should Liverpool agree to part ways for £10 million.

24-year-old Carroll joined Liverpool for £35 million from Newcastle just two years ago. However he failed to impress and was loaned out to West Ham on a season-long deal. Despite Sam Allardyce being keen on landing the player, the Hammers cannot afford to sign him on a permanent basis due to new financial regulations that will come into effect next season. Consequently the player will return to Anfield after his loan deal expires in the summer.

With Carrroll’s future at Anfield remaining in the dark, Newcastle will try and make a switch for him in summer if Brendan Rodgers accepts to sell the player in a cut-price deal. Alan Pardew has made the signing of another forward his priority in summer, after losing Demba Ba to Chelsea. Carroll is seen as an ideal player to team up with Papis Cisse up front.
