Newcastle terminate Xisco contract

Daily Mail informs Newcastle hierarchy has finally lost patience with striker Xisco and released him on a free.

The 26-year-old Spaniard has joined the Magpies Deportivo La Coruna for £5.7 million in 2008. However he failed to establish himself as a first-team regular due to the series of injuries and lack of form, making just nine appearances in 4 seasons and scoring one goal. Newcastle have repeatedly loaned him to Spanish sides over the last three years. He had loan spells with Racing Santander and Deportivo La Coruña.

Xisco is expected to join Cordoba the next week.
