Norwich to lure Celtic Hooper to Carrow Road

Daily Mirror states that Norwich are trying to lure Celtic striker Gary Hooper away from Celtic Park by offering him £30,000-a-week deal.

The Canaries’ boss Chris Hughton was spotted on the Celtic Park during the Scottish Premier League clash between the Celts and the Motherwell. He was believed to be watching the game of Gary Hooper with a view to land the 24-year-old striker in the January transfer window. Hooper has scored the only goal of the game to bring the Celts minimal 1-0 victory.

Hughton was apparently impressed with Hooper’s performance and is now trying to tempt the forward with £30,000-a-week deal. Should the transfer go through then Hooper becomes the Canaries’ top-earner. Currently Grant Holt earns the highest salary in the club (£20,000-a-week)
