Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the capture of Spanish striker Roberto Soldado subject to a medical in a club record deal worth £26 million.

“We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Valencia for the transfer of Roberto Soldado subject to medical”, claimed White Hart Lane representatives.

The 28-year old scored incredible 59 goals in 101 matches for his previous club Valencia from 2010 to 2013. He also starred for Real Madrid B, Osasuna and Getafe. He has become the third signing for the London club this summer alongside Nacer Chadli and Paulinho.

Tottenham are also expected to complete the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid in the nearest time for a world record-breaking sum in the region of £85 million.
