Serie A fixtures preview: Milan vs Napoli

Serie A fixtures preview: Milan vs Napoli

The Rossoneri aim to put pressure on the second standing Napoli as the sides clash at the San Siro, while Napoli are keen on expand their three-game winning run.

Serie A race for the first place is already over and Milan and Napoli target the second spot that brings automatic qualification to the Champions League.

The Neapolitans showed solid performance in Serie A this year losing only one game since January, yet the gap between the team and top standing Juventus is already nine points. Milan at the same time is two points beneath the Naples side.

Massimiliano Allegri knows that the win in the match will provide his side with the opportunity to reach Champions League qualifying berth, overhauling their direct rivals. Napoli realize that Champions League run can keep the likes of Hamsik and especially Cavani in the team.
Milan celebrated victories in their last five games, losing points only against Fiorentina, while Napoli defeated Atalanta, Torino and Genoa in last three games, though their display was rather nervous and not convincing.

The Rossoneri will be missing Mario Balotelli in the upcoming fixture who received a three-match ban. Giampaolo Pazzini is likely to exchange former Manchester City man in attack.
