Sunderland and Luis Saha mutually agreed to part ways

According to Sky Sports Sunderland confirmed the departure of their veteran forward Louis Saha as his contract was terminated by mutual agreement.

Martin O’Neill is determined to rebuild the Black Cats squad and revealed the 34-year-old striker does not feature in his plans. The striker himself is believed to be frustrated with the lack of first-team opportunities at the Stadium Of Light. He has made just two first-team appearances since joining Sunderland from Tottenham in summer.

Saha could continue his career in South Africa as at least one club in this country is interested in securing his services.
