Sunderland Mignolet on Man Utd and Arsenal radars

The Sun informs Manchester United and Arsenal are stepping up their interest in signing Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

The Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson is said to be willing to find a replacement to his inconsistent goalie De Gea, who is believed to be heading back to Spain in summer.

Under-fire Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has lost his patience with a first-choice stalwart Wojciech Szczęsny after a series of poor performances and is determined to offload him as soon as the transfer window reopens in June.

Mignolet has made 26 appearances this season conceding 34 goals.
