Sunderland skipper out for two months

Sky Sports states that Sunderland captain Lee Cattermole will be on the sidelines for about two months after suffering Knee Injury during the 0-0 draw with QPR.

The 24 year-old midfielder was transferred to London for a medical assessment with the suspicion of medial ligament damage. Now Cattermole is set to miss around 12 Premier League and League Cup matches. Injury is a major blow for The Black Cats facing a tough relegation battle this season.

Lee Cattermole has made 9 appearances for his club this season.
