Top-5 Spanish managers according to FootballTop.com reader’s voting

The ranking of the best Spanish managers is quite a weird one. Two unemployed coaches, the tactician that created unstoppable Spain, still mysteries Catalan coach and Spanish ambassador in the Russian top flight are all there. It may sound paradoxically, but we are sure our readers are always just and fair.

1. Pep Guardiola

While leaving Barca for a short break, Pep claimed he was tired after 4 seasons in the club. The tactician is unemployed for more than six months, yet it seems that the number of his admirers and fans is only growing. The more we think about his spell in Barca, the harder it is to find the precise metaphor for the wonders hit team performed that included 14 titles in 4 seasons. He promised he would return to managing, but he should not really worry about returning to the fans’ hearts, as they still regard him as №1.

2. Vicente Del Bosque (Spain)

Despite winning numerous titles in club tournaments, the national team of Spain was perceived for a long time as a bunch of losers that could not win any title at the international tournaments. Finally the curse was broken by Vicente Del Bosque, who claimed with the golden generation two European cups and World Cup. His impact on the team and its style has given us the Spain that we admire.

The Spanish coach was presented to Spartak fans in May 2012 when he penned a two-year contract with the Russian side. Before that the tactician coached Lorca Deportiva where he earned the team promotion to the second division. The spell in Valenciia was even more memorable and later he was offered to move to Spartak. The fans of the Moscow club have been waiting for the Premier league trophy for 11 seasons and now their hopes are connected with the Spanish manager.

4. Tito Vilanova (Barcelona)

Former Guardiola assistant took the post only last summer, yet it is believed that he was one of the main driving forces during the most glorious times of Barca. Now Tito received an opportunity to show the world that he can keep the team on track, winning trophies and showing spectacular football.

5. Rafael Benitez (Chelsea)

Benitez has been unemployed for two seasons but the fans still remember his acumen and vision. We also cannot forget one of the greatest comebacks that we have ever seen as Liverpool defeated Milan in the final of the Champions League. The fans still want to see Rafa in modern football and 5th place in the ranking only proves that.
