Torino Ogbonna flattered by Man Utd interest

Highly-rated Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna revealed he is flattered by interest shown in him by Premier League leaders Manchester United and would seriously consider any offer from them.

According to the recent rumours Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has sent his scouts to watch the 24-year-old Italian in action during Torino Serie A encounter against Roma at Stadio Olimpico.

Speculations have linked the player with moves to a host of top European clubs, however the player himself reiterates he remains committed to fulfilling his duties at Torino. He said: “If they came to see me, this obviously flatters me, but right now I don’t think about the future. I live in the present and, just like all my team mates, I think only to the Torino’s salvation.”

Ogbonna, considered one of the brightest Italian talents of the generation, came through the ranks of Torino before signing his first senior contract with the struggling Serie A side.
