Tottenham Bale admires Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich

Tottenham wizard Gareth Bale revealed he stands in awe of Europe ‘big three’ clubs Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The Wales international has been in marvelous form this season, scoring 10 goals in his last 8 games. His magnificent performances for Spurs both in Premier League high-profile games and in Europe have caught attention of top European clubs. He is also a sure-fire favourite to win Player of the Year award this year.

Despite the speculations linking with a move to free-spending Manchester City or PSG, Bale revealed those clubs are not in the same league as the big three. He said: Yes, PSG is a great team. They brought great players last summer, even in January. This is a club to follow in the future, a bit like Manchester City. (But) they are still not at the level of great clubs. Not like Bayern, Real or Barcelona.”

Bale has also admitted that although he admired the talent of Ryan Giggs in childhood, today he is trying to be as good as Ronaldo and Messi. “I have grown up as a person and I hope to keep improving year after year. (Ryan) Giggs is the hero of my childhood. I watched him play as a kid. But today, (Cristiano) Ronaldo and (Lionel) Messi are the players to watch.”
