Toulouse starlet Aurier flattered by links with Marseille and Everton

Tolouse defender Serge Aurier revealed he is flattered by the interest from Marseille and Everton and would relish an opportunity of moving to a bigger club where he could play against top level opposition.

Aurier has made his senior debut at Lens in 2009 at the age of 17, before making a switch to Toulouse in 2012. He delivered a series of impressive performances for his club, which earned him a call-up from Ivory Coast head coach.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a move to a host of European clubs, including Everton and Marseille and is enjoying being at the center attention. He said: “I would like to perform at the top level and play against top opponents every week. I am enjoying my international career so far. I love the national team, they have been great for me.

“Everton are a top team and if they show interest in you it means a lot. I am just trying to stay relaxed about things. Marseille are a top club in France and when they show interest you cannot ignore it, you have to listen,” he added.
