Wesley Sneijder signs for Galatasaray

Galatasaray confirmed the terms have been agreed for the transfer of Sneijder to the Turkish side, putting an end to an almost endless saga of Dutch star’s moving away from San Siro.

Despite late Liverpool attempts to hijack the deal, Galatasaray managed to secure the services of the out-of-favored Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder, who has been frozen at San Siro since his reluctance to take €2 million pay-cut on a contract.

Sneijder has put pen to paper on a contract worth of £120,000 per week, with the transfer fee believed to be around £8.3 million.

Sneijder has made just 5 appearances for the club this season.
