West Ham consider Poyet, Di Canio, Zola as ‘Big Sam’ replacement

West Ham consider Poyet, Di Canio, Zola as ‘Big Sam’ replacement

Daily Mirror states West Ham are scouting for the replacement to Sam Allardyce should he fail to save the team from relegation, with Gus Poyet, Paolo Di Canio and Gianfranco Zola considered as the most likely candidates to take over the Hummers.

Current Allardyce’s deal is set to expire in summer, however co-chairman David Gold revealed he is reluctant to offer the new contract until the club’s Permie League safety is guaranteed.

Gus Poyet has been doing really well with Brighton, building a strong team which plays entertaining attacking football.

The candidacy of Swindon’s Paolo Di Canio would be certainly popular choice among the fans still being nostalgic about his beautiful goals and his fiery temperament.

West Ham hierarchy could also be willing to offer the second chance to Watford’s Gianfranco Zola.
