West Ham eye switch for Chelsea Demba Ba
West Ham are weighing up an option of offering a season-long loan deal for their former forward Demba Ba.
The Hammer are currently desperately looking for a quality player with lethal finishing ability who could strengthen their otherwise weak attacking line. Given that Mourinho is determined to land Chelsea prime target Edinson Cavani and that they are reluctant to loan out Romelu Lukaku, who impressed at West Brom last season, Ba’s number of first-team appearances could be severely limited next season.
West Ham are prepared to offer the 28-year-old Senegalese an escape route from the potential Stamford Bridge nightmare he could face next season.
It is to be recalled Ba joined West Ham in January 2010 and impressed both the Hammers coaching staff and the fans, scoring 7 goals in 12 games during his debut season. However he left the club for Newcastle, after the Hammers were relegated. Then he made a switch to Chelsea in January transfer window. However it remains to be seen, whether Ba returns to Boleyn Ground to close the circle.
