Wigan signs Kone three days before the start of the Premier League
The Ivory Coast forward Arouna Kone penned a three-year deal with Wigan on Tuesday.
After the move of the striker was confirmed by the clubs, the player told Wigan web-site he was happy to join the English side and impatient to start a new campaign which is ‘a great challenge’ for him.
Kone said Wigan manager already spoke with him about the club and the player confessed ‘the coach is a young professional who is trying to build something special here.’
The striker expressed his hope on playing in the match against Chelsea on Sunday and underlined, ‘I am going to give my all every time I put the shirt on this season and I’m sure we can make progress in the league. I really hope that the fans will be satisfied that I’m a player who gives everything.’
