World Cup 2014 qualifiers’ preview: Czech Republic vs Denmark

World Cup 2014 qualifiers’ preview: Czech Republic vs Denmark

Denmark visit Czech Republic in what could be the defining game of their World Cup qualifying campaign. Currently Denmark find themselves in the fifth place of the Group B with just two points from three encounters, after failing to secure the victory in any of their three games. They were held to a goalless draw by the Czech Republic in their first game, suffered 3-1 defeat against Italy and tied the game against Bulgaria.

Czech Republic lie in the third place with 5 points from three games, one point behind second-placed Bulgaria and five points behind the leaders Italy. They have good chances of finishing in the second place of their group, should they defeat Denmark and get at two points in their two games against Italy.

Czech Republic team news:

Influential midfielder Tomas Rosicky has returned following his long-term absence due to injury and is quickly regaining his form. His mere presence will undoubtedly inspire the team.

Milan Baros has not been called up due to fitness issues.

Denmark team news:

Bendtner has been banned for half a year by the Football association of Denmark for drunk driving.
