Davide Santon is a back of Newcastle United. He was born on 2 January 1991 in Portomaggiore, Italy.
Davide began to apply himself to football in the Ravenna academy. He was invited to the U11 team of the club and played there during two years before climbing up the youth system. In 2005 Santon became the footballer any Italian club would sign and Milan side Internazionale set itself to get the young talent. In the summer the same year Davide officially joined the Inter academy and spent three years with the club, completing his preparations for the professional career during all that time.
In 2008 Davide was offered to pen a contract with Internazionale. The back was really glad to have such an opportunity to demonstrate his skills at professional level, so he accepted the offer almost instantly. However, his appearances were occasional and the head coach rotated the player’s coming on the pitch, so he took part in only in 40 matches before going on loan.
In January 2011 Davide was sent on loan to Cesena and spent the second half of the 2010/2011 season with the temporary team. He was given an opportunity to make 11 appearances, which helped the footballer to keep his playing shape at the same level as in his parent Internazionale.
In the summer 2011 the Italian back accepted an offer of English side Newcastle United and signed a contract with the club on permanent basis. During the very first season Davide took part in 24 matches of the English squad, which helped it to clinch the place in the 2012/2013 Europa League.
