Anzhi, Zenit target Arsenal Bendtner

Russian moneybags Anzhi Makhachkala and Zenit St Petersburg are seriously considering the possibility of signing out-of-favor Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner.

The 25-year-old Dane is currently on a season-long deal at Juventus, but the he has hardly featured in the first team this season. After he has been charged with drink-driving, there were speculations Juve could terminate his contract and send him back to London. Despite all the controversy at the moment he remains in Italy.

Arsenal are keen on offloading the player, whose contract is set to expire next summer and Russian clubs are believed to be ready to offer the player an escape route from Emirates stadium. Bendtner’s agent Tom Brooks revealed: “We’ve had contact several times with Russian teams. Interest has also been shown by English and Italian clubs and Nicklas would like to play regularly in the Champions League. A large number of talented players have gone to Russia in recent years. If a solid proposal arrives, we will consider it.”

Goodness, probably he'd better join Brondbu or Nordsjelland? Not good enough for Arsenal, not good enough for Juventus. Think good enough for Zenit? Nah..
