Brazil breaks down China on home soil
Hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup and thus not being obliged to come through its qualifiers, Brazil didn’t idle its time away and carried out a friendly match with China in Recife which ended in marmelizing the Mandarin Republic 8-0.
The Brazilian squad found it easy to dominate the game from the start and already in the 22nd minute Ramires combined with Oscar and scored an opening goal of the clash. The second goal wasn’t long in coming: just three minutes later Oscar assisted Neymar with a skillful low cross and Santos forward fired a ball in Zeng Cheng’s goal. Thus, Brazil pulled off a highly promising 2-0 lead at halftime.
The Chinese team raised their eyebrows when midfielder Lucas made a 3-0 scoreline in the 3d minute of the second half and Hulk added one more goal from Neymar’s fierce shot from outside the box.
Brazil built up an unassailable 5-0 lead when Neymar struck his second goal for the game ending any hope for China. And after Oscar made a pinpoint pass to the Brazilian forward, Neymar completed his hat-trick in the 71st minute. All the efforts of the Chinese squad went down the drain.
Throughout the match China had only few sporadic attacks, attempt on target from Zhang Yuan being the most spectacular of all, as he played with his head, but Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Alves kept a clean sheet.
Brazil completed the throw down with an own goal by Liu Jianye and a penalty committed by Oscar for a foul on Marcelo.
