Carroll hinted the move to West Ham could be completed soon

Andy Carroll dropped a huge hint as regards his proposed permanent move to West Ham via his official Twitter feed.

A young West Ham fan tweeted forward a picture of himself in a West Ham shirt with a name “Carroll” on it, asking Liverpool striker, who spent a season on loan at Boleyn ground, to ‘make our day and sign tomorrow’. Carroll retweeted the picture to his followers, sparking the speculation that he is on the verge of joining the Hammers.

Although no official confirmation has been released as of yet, Carroll is believed to have agreed the deal in principal with West Ham, subject to medical and personal terms. It is reported the 24-year-old will put pen to paper on a six-year deal worth £80,000 per week.

Co-owner David Gold tweeted the deal is about to be completed, but everyone must be patient. He wrote: ‘The Andy Carroll deal is important to us and equally important to Andy. We must dot every ‘I’ and cross every ‘t’ we must be patient.’
