PSV have snapped up highly-rated Chelsea centre back Jeffrey Bruma for around £2.5 million.

Bruma failed to establish himself as the first-team player at Stamford Bridge and was loaned out to German outfit Hamburg, where he made 27 first-team appearances in all competitions.

The Dutchman welcomed an opportunity of returning to his home country, after signing a four-year deal that will keep him at Eindhoven up until 2017.

SV’s technical director, Marcel Brands, who has also brought Florian Jozefzoon from RKC Waalwijk revealed he is happy to have landed two Dutch players with bags of potential. He said: “They are talented players with all the necessary experience. Jeffrey is 21 years, Florian 22 years. They fit the philosophy that PSV have; we like the best Dutch talent in our ranks.”
